As work continues on the I-40 rehab project through the Forsyth County / Winston-Salem area the Contractor will Close the Right Lane on I-40 Eastbound from Mile Marker 201 to Mile Marker 205 to continue rehab work in this area.
This is a Blanket T.I.M.S notification: For T.I.P Project I-3306A. Project will consist of widening I-40 from 4 Lanes to 6 Lanes from I-85 in Orange Co. to the Durham Co. Line with Interchange Modifications, Including the I-40/NC 86 Interchange. Notification of Lane Closures Ramp Closures and Detour Routes will be addressed in separate T.I.M.S Incidents.
The right lane will be closed on the bridge which crosses Northeast Cape Fear River for bridge inspection. The bridge is approximately 5 miles after Exit 408 (NC 210). Motorists are advised to slow down and follow direction of onsite traffic controls.

A lane will be closed in each direction near Exit 20 (US 276/Jonathan Creek Road). Wide-load restrictions will be in place for oversized and wide-load vehicles. The wide-load restrictions are as follows:
Eastbound from Mile Marker 18 to Mile Marker 20: 14’ width 75’ length
Westbound from Mile Marker 20 to Mile Marker M18: 12’ width 85’ length
Crews will be conducting construction operations on I-40 in both directions between Exits 50, US-25 and Exit 66, Dunsmore Avenue. Intermittent lane closures are possible during both day and night, as weather permits.
Night-Time Construction and Pavement Rehabilitation. Motorists should expect possible shoulder closures on I-40 from SR-1728 (WADE AVENUE) to I-440/US-1 in Raleigh.
