Piedmont Natural Gas crews will doing extensive work on an existing gas valve that is located in the middle of the two west-bound lanes on US Highway 64 in Ramseur. This work will be done at night between the hours of 7:00 PM and 5:00 AM and will require the pavement to be cut open for 3-4 weeks. A steel plate will be placed on the cut during the day to allow for all lanes of traffic to be open. A lane closure and a lane shift will be utilized in the west-bound lanes at night during construction. Expect slow moving traffic.
