Traffic incidents and road conditions on I-26 in North-Carolina

The right lane will be closed 4 miles west of Exit 49 A, US 64 (Chimney Rock Road).

The road will be closed near Exit 33, NC 191 (Brevard Road).

The shoulders are closed 1 mile East of Exit 54 (US 25/Asheville Highway). 

There will be intermittent work throughout this area that will include shoulder and lane closures in both the east and westbound directions. 

There will be a new traffic pattern leading up to the Green River Bridge and lanes will be narrow across the Green River Bridge in the west bound lanes.

Motorists should expect shoulder closures on I-26/US-74 westbound and eastbound lanes between MM 55 and MM 57.

The shoulder will be closed one mile East of Exit 33 (NC 191/Brevard Road) to facilitate the widening of I-26. Motorists can expect delays throughout the area and should plan accordingly.
