OPELOUSAS, La. - Effective immediately, the right lane of U.S. 190 at the MOPAC Bridge, just east of the I-49 Interchange, is closed to traffic in the westbound direction. This closure is necessary due to a small deterioration near a bridge joint. Emergency repairs are anticipated to begin, Monday, May 1.

Road Maintenance Operations on US-190 Both Directions from I-12 to Rogers Ln . Lanes Alternating. Starting 8/10/2022 8:00 PM
COVINGTON, La. — The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development announces that work is set to begin this week to mill, patch and overlay 2.9 miles of US 190 between I-12 and Rogers Lane. The more than $4.2 million project is set to begin on Wednesday, August 10. Message boards are in place. There will be alternating lane closures nightly between 8:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m. One lane will remain open at all times. Work is anticipated to be complete by March 2023, weather permitting. Safety Reminder: DOTD appreciates your patience and reminds you to please drive with caution through construction sites, and be on the lookout for work crews and their equipment.
