ST. LANDRY PARISH, La. - U.S. 190 in the westbound and eastbound directions,
from Krotz Springs to Bayou Courtableau Bridge (4.5 miles east of the La. 741
intersection), will have intermittent alternating lane closures beginning
Wednesday, May 8, 2024 until Friday, May 17, 2024, from approximately 7 a.m. to
5 p.m. each day, weather permitting. This closure is necessary to allow crews to
perform roadway investigations. This closure has no vehicle restrictions. No
detour is necessary. Emergency vehicles will have access to the area. DOTD

COVINGTON, La. — The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development
announces that work is set to begin this week to mill, patch and overlay 2.9
miles of US 190 between I-12 and Rogers Lane. The more than $4.2 million project
is set to begin on Wednesday, August 10. Message boards are in place. There will
be alternating lane closures nightly between 8:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m. One lane
will remain open at all times. Work is anticipated to be complete by March 2023,
weather permitting. Safety Reminder: DOTD appreciates your patience and reminds
you to please drive with caution through construction sites, and be on the
