Bridge Maintenance Operations on I-49 Both Directions from M L King Dr MM (85) to Airbase Rd MM (87). 1 Left lane closed. Starting 6/4/2024 8:00 AM and Ending 6/28/2024 4:00 PM.
The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD), advises the public that on Tuesday, June 4, 2024 through Friday, June 28, 2024 from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM each day, weather permitting, from milepost 85 to milepost 87, on I-49 (Northbound and Southbound) the left lane will be closed for routine bridge maintenance. The lane closure is located at the elevated portion of the interstate through Alexandria, LA., approximately from the US 167/I-49 interchange to North of the US 71/I-49 interchange. Permit/Detour section No detour will be needed as one lane will remain open at all times. Safety Reminder DOTD appreciates your patience and reminds you to please drive with caution around the construction sites and be on the lookout for work crews and their equipment.

No. H.012468 I-49 (St. Landry Parish Line – 2 Miles North of LA 3265) Avoyelles, Evangeline & Rapides Parishes The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD), advises the public that, weather permitting, on Monday, January 8, 2024 at 7:00 am, portions of I-49, beginning at the St. Landry parish line and ending 2 miles north of LA 3265, will have alternating lane closures in both directions. This construction project consists of sign replacements and related work. This contract was awarded to Highway Safety Systems LLC in the amount of $2,109,152.25. Permit/Detour Section There are no detours at this time associated with these alternating lane closures. Safety Reminder DOTD appreciates your patience and reminds you to please drive with caution through the construction site and be on the lookout for work crews and their equipment.
