Road Construction - Estimated delay under 20 minutes

PENDLETON-JOHN DAY
US395, 21 miles South of Pilot Rock
A chip seal project will be occurring. Expect delays. Watch for loose rock. Use caution. Speeds reduced in the work zone.
Project due to start 6/5 and run through 6/13. Allow extra travel time and slow down to prevent loose rocks from flying onto other vehicles. Crews will sweep roadways but expect some loose rock to be present for several days after the chip seal. Bicycle riders should be prepared for riding on rock chip - covered surfaces behind a pilot car with no usable shoulders. Use alternate routes or delay travel to avoid chip seal. Ranchers, farmers and property owners: if you need to move farm equipment or livestock or use irrigation or sprinklers, please consider adjusting your schedule to help us. If moving equipment or livestock, please contact us.
