Construction is underway for State Project H.014865, US 61: LA 74 - LA 42. This project is 5.306 miles in Ascension Parish. The type of work includes milling asphalt concrete, pavement patching, asphalt concrete overlay, striping, loop detectors and related work. The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development reminds motorists of this active construction zone on US 61 between LA 74 and LA 42. Motorists have access to travel the roadway, but should anticipate delays due to alternating lane closures on US-61 (Airline Hwy) Northbound between LA 74 and LA 42. Construction is allowable nightly from 8:00 PM – 5:00 AM Mondays thru Thursdays, and on weekends from 8:00 PM Friday – 5:00 AM Monday, weather permitting. DOTD appreciates your patience and reminds you to please drive with caution through the construction site and be on the lookout for work crews and their equipment.
