Traffic incidents and road conditions on LA-793 in Louisiana

The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development advises motorists that beginning on Monday, May 20, 2024, the LA 793 over an unnamed waterway in Bienville Parish will be closed. This closure is scheduled to be in place for approximately 14 days, and is necessary to allow for DOTD crews to performs repairs to the bridge abutment. This bridge is located approximately 0.72 miles west of the intersection with LA 794 (see included map). Restrictions/Permits: Total road closure at the specified location. All vehicles will need to utilize an alternate route. Alternate Route: Detour signage will be in place. This work will be performed WEATHER PERMITTING. Safety reminder: DOTD appreciates your patience and reminds you to please drive with caution through the construction site and be on the lookout for work crews and their equipment. Area residents should exercise caution when driving, walking, or biking near an active construction zone.
