Traffic incidents and road conditions on LA-585 in Louisiana

Starting Monday, January 22, 2024, the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development informs motorists about a road closure on LA 585 at the drainage canal bridge. This closure is part of an ongoing project to replace the drainage canal bridge along LA 585 in East Carroll Parishes. Detour Information: A clearly marked detour route will be established and available for the entire duration of the closure. All vehicles are required to take the detour using US 65, LA 2, and LA 17. Restrictions/Permits: The roadway will be closed to all traffic. Safety Reminder: LA DOTD and Brown Industrial Construction, Inc. appreciate your patience and remind you to please drive with caution through the construction site and be on the lookout for work crews and their equipment.
