ST. MARTIN PARISH, La. - The Louisiana Department of Transportation and
Development (DOTD) announces that beginning Monday, October 16, construction
will begin on a $11.96 million project along La. 347 from La. 350 to La. 351.
This project consist of milling asphaltic concrete, pavement patching, asphalt
overlay, drainage improvements and related work. The work is estimated to take
place Mondays through Fridays from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., weather permitting.
Intermittent lane closures will be required to perform the work, therefore,
drivers should expect delays. Emergency vehicles will have access through this
area. The road will be open to regular traffic with a 10-foot lane restriction
on oversized loads passing through the work zone. The project is estimated to be
complete in February 2025. DOTD appreciates your patience and reminds you to
please drive with caution through the construction site and be on the lookout

ST. MARTIN PARISH, La. - DOTD announces that beginning Wednesday, August 7,
2024, crews will begin work on a 4.5-mile section of La. 347 (Grand Point
Highway) from South Poydras Street (La. 347) to La. 352 (Henderson Highway).
Work includes milling, conducted by the contractor, as well as asphalt overlay
of the existing pavement being done by DOTD maintenance crews. Work is estimated
to take place Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., weather permitting.
Motorists may encounter delays as a result of lane closures. This work is
estimated to last approximately three weeks. Safety Reminder DOTD appreciates
