Traffic incidents and road conditions on LA-20 in Louisiana

LA 20 will continue having intermittent lane closures in both directions beginning Wednesday, March 27th, between LA 643 and LA 307. Weekday closures will be from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM Monday through Friday for the duration of the construction projects. Flaggers will be on site to direct traffic through the work zone. One lane of travel will be maintained at all times. Motorists should expect delays when traveling through the work zone. These closures are necessary for roadway widening and drainage installation. Restrictions: No permit or oversized loads greater than 12’ feet wide will be able to pass. These loads should contact the DOTD permit office for a new route. These closures are subject to change due to adverse weather conditions. DOTD appreciates your patience and reminds you to please drive with caution through the work zone and be on the lookout for work crews and their equipment.
