Bridge Closure on LA-132 from Shop Rd to Bill Williamson Rd. All Lanes Closed. Starting 11/15/2023 12:00 AM
UPDATE: Wednesday, November 15, 2023 LA 132 at Little Creek Bridge is CLOSED as of today, Wednesday, November 15, 2023. LA 132, approximately 0.9 miles west of LA 576 in Mangham, La, will be closed to all through traffic beginning Monday, November 13, 2023, in order to replace the Little Creek Bridge. This closure is related to an ongoing project H.013990 to replace five bridges along LA 132 in Richland Parish. Alternate Route: All vehicles must detour using LA 135, LA 15 and US 425. Restrictions/Permits: Road closure on LA 132. Safety Reminder: LA DOTD and Diamond B Construction Co. appreciate your patience and remind you to drive with caution through the construction site and be on the lookout for work crews and their equipment. Area residents should exercise caution when driving, walking, or biking near an active construction zone. Call 511 or visit www.511la.org for additional information. The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development advises motorists that beginning Wednesday, October 25, 2023, there will be ongoing construction at five bridge sites along LA 132 from the bridge over Muddy Bayou approx. 0.3 miles east of LA 135 to the bridge over Little Creek approx. 0.9 miles west of LA 576 in Mangham, all in Richland Parish. This construction work is necessary to prepare for spot replacements of five bridge sites along LA 132. Thru traffic will be maintained at this time. Road closures will be necessary at a later date upon which this notice will be updated. This work will be performed WEATHER PERMITTING. Alternate Route: N/A Restrictions/Permits: N/A Safety Reminder: DOTD appreciates your patience and reminds you to please drive with caution through the construction site and be on the lookout for work crews and their equipment. Date Posted: 3/31/2023 11:49:02 AM BRIDGE CLOSURE: LA 132 bridge over Boeuf River, Richland Parish The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development announces a project to remove and replace the LA 132 bridge over the Boeuf River near Buckner in Richland Parish. The $6.4 million project is set to begin on Wednesday April 12, 2023 with a closure of the bridge, which is located immediately west of the intersection with LA 561. The project includes the removal and replacement of the original bridge – built in 1966 – with a new concrete structure, pavement patching, asphalt overlay, and related work. The entire project is anticipated to be complete in late 2024, with progress dependent on weather conditions and other factors that may impact construction timelines. Alternate route: Detour signage will be in place. Traffic will be detoured via LA 15, LA 135 and LA 132. Restrictions/Permits: Total bridge closure at the specified location. All traffic will need to detour. This work will be performed WEATHER PERMITTING.
