Traffic incidents and road conditions on I-587 in North-Carolina

Construction Contract C204734 will begin on 05/04/2023 from MM 30 I-587 EB & WB to MM 39 I-587 EB & WB.  The work will be in a continuous manner starting with paving which will include lane closures during the day. Bridge work will occur after paving is completed.  The work will include night time and day time work with potential lane closures and shoulder closures in use.  Construction should be completed by August 2024. 

Construction Contract C204743 will begin on 02/27/2023 from MM 23 I-587 EB & WB to MM 30 I-587 EB & WB.  The work will be in a continuous manner starting with paving which will include lane closures during the day. Bridge work will occur after paving is completed.  The work will include night time and day time work with potential lane closures and shoulder closures in use.  Construction should be completed by June 2024.
